We all experience pain, emotional and physical. This week let's focus on physical pain and how our bodies talk to us through pain. There is great value of being in more awareness of our bodies.
Pain is my body's way of talking to me, telling me that some adjustments are needed and it needs my attention.
This week, I have been playing with how I address pain in my body. I have been working on...
...being more in gratitude with my body for letting me know that something needs adjustment for starters.
As I be in this gratitude and know that pain is a way that my body communicates, I can be more open to what is needed for my body.
Becoming more in tune to my body and not seeing my body as separate from the rest of me.
I now ask different questions.
Being more conscious of my body in this way, also makes me more aware of what I may be doing to create the pain.
I am doing better tuning in and listening to my body. When I get indigestion from eating a food, I know that my body is telling me that I need to make a different choice. So I begin the conversation with my body to ask what it would like as far as eating, moving, sleeping etc.
The key for me to remember is that my body is not at war with me. And when I can move into gratitude and embrace my body through kindness, caring and nurturing love, I will have more ease in being one with my body.
What would it take for you to have more body awareness this week?
