The Shift is Happening... Do you feel it?

What is a shift?

A shift is  a change in emphasis, direction, or focus.

Shifts can take us up to being greater or they can take us down to being less.

We have the power to control the direction of our shifts. Sometimes we need to take a dip downward to motivate us to make some different choices to get out of the dumps.

The key to directing our shifts is to be conscious of what we are focusing on. Shift your focus and your whole reality can shift.
This is what these weekly insights have been about. Helping you find the focus that will create the shift, the evolving that you desire. 
 
I recently had a shift and I am now beginning to know when they are happening because of how my body responds. I have been working on having more body awareness and my body tells me when it is affected by an internal shift.

It makes sense that when we focus on releasing old belief, limitations and patterns, our body will need to adjust also, as it has been holding much of that in place. For me, my body acts as if it is becoming ill with slight symptoms; like the start of a cold. My body will need more rest than usual. 

Again, this makes sense now that I am aware of what it is. I let go of judging it as something wrong or bad and I surrender and allow my body the rest it needs.  By the next day, I feel lighter. I feel more balanced.

What can I do to direct my shifts upward? 

I can consciously choose where I place my focus. I can choose how and with whom I share my time. I can be aware of how I feel when in a higher vibration, acknowledging that this is what I desire to BE. 

Since the beginning of the year I have been focusing on activities that will raise my vibration:
  • Each day I chose a high vibration word to focus on throughout the day. Now I have one that I focus on for the week. (You can find those on my Facebook page.)
  • I added more meditation. 
  • I get my Bars run every week to eliminate old patterns and beliefs This creates more ease as I continue to change and shift. 
  • I run Healy Frequency programs daily, the Coherence program for harmony and balance has been a huge contribution!
  • I have doing more yoga and my body is responding well to it.
  • I enroll in classes that keep me connected to others and inspire me. My most recent class was a Raise Your Vibration class that included receiving remote energy work once a week.  
  • I consciously choose activities that I enjoy. 
With this last shift I feel:
  • Stronger – Physically, mentally, and emotionally
  • More alive and excited about life
  • Have more vitality and look forward to being more active
  • More connected to life and living
  • Increased joy
I still have plenty to work on, but at this higher vibration, I know I have achieved a greater capacity to keep moving upward. I acknowledge that I have made progress and feel much more alive.

Sometimes when I am in the midst of a shift, that is when things can seem the most difficult. Here's a question that I use that helps me be aware of what is truly happening:

Is this the change I have been asking for? 

If it feels lighter when I ask that, or I get a definite YES, even if it doesn't make sense, then I know to just wait and know that I am about to turn a corner into something greater than I ever thought possible. Things are going to fall together, even though they seem to be falling apart. 

Remember- Remember how it was the last time you shifted. Use that as your foundation that, "All is well." 

We have all sorts of evidence that we have lived through that can remind us of the path we are on. 

When we continue to focus on past pains and hurts then we tend to "forget" the tribulations and elations from past shifts. 

To help me remember my shifts, I record them in my SHIFT journal. I then, have something to turn to when I am in the midst of  shift. This gives me the strength to persevere, knowing it will be worth being patient and kind to myself as I turn the next corner. 

For Parents

Here are just some added thoughts for parents regarding shifts:
  • Your kids can feel when you shift. This can cause them to have a reaction as they adjust to your shift. They may be uncertain about the change. Give them time to adjust. They may also feel more at ease with your shift and you may notice that they are calmer with you. 
  • Kids have their own shifts too. Sometimes they shift because you have shifted.
  • Helping your child to know that they have the power to be down or up, can teach them that they are not the victim of their emotions, or someone else's. 
  • Share with them the tools and means that you use to help raise you up. Share high vibration word of the day as a focus for the day. 
  • Have allowance for the times that they may be in transition and need some added TLC. 
  • What can they become aware of about their body and what it needs by asking questions?

As you go through this month, what is one thing that you are asking for?
What is one challenge you can ask of yourself?
What is one choice that you can make that can move you in the direction that will give you more of you?
What high vibration of energy will you choose to focus on?

Celebrate your achievements. STOP when you start to judge yourself for missing the mark, ask more questions and look for another possibility.
